7. P olicy concerning alcohol and drug use.

Prevention of drug and alcohol abuse and crime is an ongoing task requiring effort from faculty, administration, students and patrons

We feel education is one of the most effective deterrents for these offenses. PTC conducts a school-wide drug and alcohol abuse prevention assembly annually for all full-time and secondary students. Drug and alcohol searches are conducted randomly in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies.

The PTC Policy and Procedures manual outlines the drug-free workplace policy for employees (3-2 section 1), as adopted by the Board of Education. Regulations for use or abuse of alcohol or drugs by students are outlined in the Student Handbook , 2007 – 2008, in section 6, page 35.

8. Sexual Offenses

Policies regarding the following area are contained in the employee Policy and Procedures manual and in the Student Handbook . This information is covered on an annual basis with employees and students during orientation/in-service activities:

· Education programs regarding sex offenses

· Possible solutions for sex offenses

· Procedures for reporting, discipline, assistance and counseling both on and off campus

· Options for academic schedule changes
