With the medical industry in a rapid stage of expansion
due to an increasing and aging population, the field of nursing is in
high demand. Our 10-month
practical nursing program (approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing)
offers full-time classes and clinical experience in preparation for a
skilled
career. As a practical nurse, you will work under the supervision of
a professional nurse or licensed physician. Graduates of our program
are
eligible to write the National Council of Licensure Exam for Practical
Nurses.
As a practical nurse you may find employment
in one of the many exciting fields including:

- Hospitals
- Nursing Homes
- Out-Patient Clinics
- Correctional Institutions
- Veterans Centers
- Mental Health
- Armed Forces
The course is filled with challenge and variety. You will have the opportunity to learn: clinical skills, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, medical-surgical disorders, maternal-child nursing, pharmacology, mental health, and career success.
Applicants for this program must submit an application to the school between January and April. Pre-entrance tests are given.
